The Board of Trustees of the College of Certified Psychophysiologists is pleased to announce that Terrance Joseph Kosikar will be awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy in Applied Optimal Performance Psychophysiology Honoris Causa.
Mr. Kosikar is the President of Camp My Way which focuses on assisting those who suffer from PTSD. Terrance was a First Responder who responded to a fatal accident on the opening day of Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. As a result of this traumatic incident he endured several years of severe depression, attempted suicide and substance abuse which resulted in the loss of his family, career and almost his life. Pushed to his breaking point he found salvation from within. Without the use of medication or traditional therapy Terrance he was able to learn and apply the science of Psychophysiology to manage his PTSD and regain control of his life.
Although the field of Psychophysiology is a complex science, Terrance was able to come to an understanding that the true ability to manage PTSD and Traumatic Stress comes from within the human mind and body and not from things outside of it.
Terrance now travels the world raising awareness of PTSD and bring a more positive understanding to this debilitating mental and physical injury. The College of Certified Psychophysiologists recognizes his contribution to society and efforts in helping others overcome this difficult obstacle in life.
