Certificate In Police Mental Wellness

The Certificate in Police Mental Wellness Program was designed to train and equip both sworn and non-sworn personnel working within public safety agencies to be able to provide education and assistance to those working on the front lines in a peer support role..

It provides knowledge and practical skills necessary to be able to address many of the physiological and mental issues that are present within front line public service agencies. Students will learn powerful psychophysiological knowledge of the body's responses to the complex trauma associated with Law Enforcement including Critical Incident Stress, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), PCTSS (Post Covid-19 Traumatic Stress Syndrome) and many more.

This will be combined with complimentary trauma intervention skills to help assist in a Peer Support role to deal with a host of these specific medical and mental health issues, that form a preventative and responsive strategy with the Officers - enhancing stress management, preventing illness, achieving optimal performance and promoting well-being. Successful candidates will earn the designation of C.P.W.O. (Certified Police Wellness Officer) after their name upon being awarded certification through the North American Board Of Certified Psychophysiologists.

AWH 1000 Basic Workplace Homeostasis Facilitator Training **

Upon successful completion of the programs candidates will receive: Certificate In Police Mental Wellness from the College Of Certified Psychophysiologists Certification as Certified De-briefer from the Ontario Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Certification as Facilitator Of Achieving Workplace Homeostasis from Global Critical Incident Stress Foundation and  the designation of the initials C.P.W.O. (Certified Police Wellness Officer) after their name awarded by the North American Board Of Certified Psychophysiologists..
